Fun Time in The Summer Time!!
by Amy on 06/16/10
Everyone loves the summer! Well, maybe not the heat or humidity, but it is usually the time of year when we are the most active. We know that means that your pets are more active, too! So we have a challenge for you and your family. Hopefully you are taking plenty of fun pictures for your scrapbooks when you are out enjoying the sun with your family and friends. Send us your pictures with your pets! We want pictures of you riding your horses, getting you fair animals ready, walking your dogs, playing with your cats...whatever the case may be. Send your pictures to Amy at aroehl@badgervet.com so she can post them on our website! When the summer is over, we will pick 3 pictures to feature in our reception area. So, enjoy your summer, and let us share it with you!
Holiday Pet Woes
by Amy on 05/27/10
The holiday season is generally a great time for most people. Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July...all good times, right! Well unfortunately it is a busy time for us because that is when most pet related injuries and illnesses occur. You name a holiday, we can name a problem. 4th of July?? Fear induced "Hit by Car" due to animals running away from loud fireworks. Easter?? Vomiting and Diarrhea caused by chocolate ingestion. FYI they like to eat the easter basket grass as well!
Well, another holiday is upon around the corner, and we want to prevent the holiday injuries from occuring. So, make sure that your pet has proper identification on them in case they run away or get lost while traveling. Keep a close eye on what your pet has access to while you are grilling out and eating good ol' American summer food. (on a side note, dogs CAN ingest a corn cob!) Also, because it's going to hot and sunny this weekend, make sure that your pet stays hydrated and cool. Heat exhaustion is a common ailment in pets, as well as people. We want you to enjoy the holidays, but always be cautious of how your pets are celebrating as well!!
And when all else fails, remember that when you're a client at Badger Vet and you have an emergency, we are here for you 24/7/365...Holidays too!
Online pharmacy websites may be more concerning than convenient
by Amy on 03/24/10This is a great article for any of you online shoppers. After reading it, remember that Badger Vet has it's OWN online pharmacy directly linked to our clinic and our veterinarians. http://www.veterinarypracticenews.com/vet-breaking-news/2010/03/05/consult-veterinarian-before-buying-from-online-pet-pharmacies.aspx

by Amy on 03/23/10
As a three doctor, small animal facility we see all different breeds of dogs from small to extra small all the way up to super sized. We want to know what your favorite breed is, and why? No cheating, your reason can't be because you love them ;)
We aren't just Doctors....the inside scoop to Badger Vet
by Amy on 03/23/10
Although we a large facility with a big staff, what you don't see with the naked eye is that our big staff cares alot about our big facility. We strive to provide the absolute best veterinary services to our patients, while still getting to know our clients and maintaining an open, available relationship with them. Several of our patients are recognized as soon as they walk in the door...and bark, or howl. Our staff knows you when you walk in the door, or into the exam room. We feel connected to you, and your family, because after all, your pet and your farm animals are part of your family! Next time you go to see your physician, see if you get that feeling from the staff; that they genuinely care. We guarantee that you will get that feeling at Badger.
