Amy...

graduated from the Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician program in 2003 after working for 4 years in agriculture. She joined the Badger staff in August of 2008.

Amy works for the Edgerton Fire Department as an EMT when she is not under Badger's roof. She resides in Edgerton with her husband Josh and their two children, Evan and Henley. Along with raising chickens, ducks, and a hearty garden, Amy likes to bake, listen to music, and enjoy the outdoors.

Practice location: Janesville

Getting to know Amy:

  • Outside of Badger Vet, Amy is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician for a nearby volunteer fire department.  She spends many hours each month on ambulance calls, at hospital trainings and fire department trainings where they practice medical skills and learn about possible emergency encounters and outcomes.
  • Amy loves to bake, going to concerts, spending time outdoors bike riding or going for long walks with her family, 5k's, obstacle courses and physical agility events like the stair climb she recently participated in Green Bay for the Fallen Firefighter Association.
  • She originally went to Platteville to be a dairy veterinarian! She realized that was not meant for her, and she has now been working 15+ years in small animal medicine.
  • Her favorite quote to live by is "Never take the small things for granted, one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
What I love about my work at Badger is that that everyday, every patient is different. There is nothing routine about my day, and each day is filled with the love and respect of animals. Can’t complain about that!
