Louie Dragged His Back Legs
Our dog Louie is a 7-year-old Dachshund. One morning when we woke, we noticed that he couldn’t walk, run, or do anything but sit. He would only drag his back legs behind him as if they didn’t work at all. They were completely limp.
Louie’s veterinarian said that he had a degenerating disc. He was put on cage rest for one month and given prednisone. He made little improvement after two weeks and was given more prednisone. The progress was still slower than the veterinarian wanted to see.
Surgery was discussed, but it was something that we couldn’t afford. I had been at the vet clinic before and read a story similar to ours about a Dachshund that hurt his back. The story explained what great results the dog had gotten with chiropractic care with Dr. Margo Nolte. I thought it might be our only hope, aside from surgery.
The results for Louie have been amazing! After about 2 ½ months of periodic chiropractic treatment, he has no more symptoms and is moving normally. He can walk and run, and he's back to living a normal, very happy life in our house!

To schedule a chiropractic appointment, you must have a referral from your veterinarian. If you currently don't have a veterinarian, any of the doctors at Badger Veterinary Hospital would be happy to examine your pet prior to your chiropractic appointment.
