The Badger Vet Brigade is gearing up to help the people and animals impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas!
Our hearts are heavy as we have watched news coverage of the devastation in Texas. And this disaster hits close to home for Badger Veterinary Hospital as our practice and our CEO, Dr. Scott Spauling, have colleagues and friends in the Houston area. These friends include the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team, and Brenham Veterinary Hospital.
Badger Veterinary Hospital has been in contact with partners in Texas, and we are forming a task force to provide supplies, veterinary care, and support for the relief efforts in the wake of the storm.
Badger Veterinary Hospital is collecting supply donations at all three of our Southern Wisconsin clinic locations in Janesville, Cambridge, and Beloit. We are also collecting monetary donations that will be used to purchase supplies for the people and pets in need, including veterinary medical supplies, medicine, and equipment.
Animal supplies you can drop off at any Badger Veterinary Hospital location OR that we will purchase with monetary donations include:
- Dog food
- Cat food
- Cat litter and litter boxes
- Dog crates
- Collars and leashes
- Dog bowls
- Hay for horses
- Hay nets
- Horse feed
- Feed buckets
- Horse halters
Supplies for the people of Houston that can also be dropped off or that we will purchase include:
- Bottled water
- Baby formula
- Baby diapers
- Clothing (for all ages/genders)
When our teams of veterinarians, vet techs, and support staff travel to the Houston area (once our partners are ready for us), we will be taking these supplies with us as we help the people and animals in great need.
Many thanks to everyone who supports the Badger Vet Brigade! Your generosity will go a long way for this community in need!
