Dr. Waldron...

joined Badger Veterinary Hospital in June of 2013. Originally from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Dr. Waldron completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota in 2008 and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.

Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Waldron focused her career in equine medicine and surgery by completing a year long internship at Tennessee Equine Hospital outside of Nashville, Tennessee. During her internship, she retained a high caseload and a large variety of equine cases with an emphasis on lameness and sports medicine. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Waldron spent time working at a large equine hospital in Ocala, Florida where she gained extensive experience working with neonatal foals. In the winter of 2015-2016, Dr. Waldron attended Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and became certified to perform veterinary chiropractic care by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Waldron's clinical interests include lameness and sports-medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, chiropractic care, and general wellness/preventative medicine.

Interesting things about Toria:

  • In her spare time, Dr. Waldron enjoys spending time with her husband, Gard, her two dogs (black lab/border collie cross, Billie Jean, and Australian Shepherd, Worm), and her two horses (Trakehner gelding, Herbie & quarter horse gelding, Scooter). She also enjoys cooking, running, downhill and cross-country skiing, and being outdoors.
  • Toria began riding horses when she was 8 years old and showed for many years in Western Pleasure. She only recently started riding Hunter/Jumpers and hopes to begin competing in this someday soon.
  • In the summer of 2006, Toria studied abroad in Costa Rica where she studied tropical bird species in the Cloud Forest.
  • Toria and her dog Billie competed in the 2015 Barkie Birkie Ski-jor competition. She and her dog Worm have just started agility classes.
I feel so lucky to have such an amazing career. Nothing makes me happier than to be outside on a beautiful day working with horses and the people who love them. It is so exciting to be a part of a profession that allows me to do this and so fulfilling to be able to help people and their animals heal and thrive.
